Psalms 1
- 1Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the godless, or stand in the way of sinners, or sit in the seat of the scornful.
- 2But his delight is in the law of the Lord. In his law does he meditate day and night.
- 3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bears his fruit in his season. His leaf also shall not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.
- 4The godless are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
- 5Therefore the godless shall not stand in the judgment, or sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
- 6For the Lord knows the way of the righteous: but the way of the godless shall perish.
