Translation Philosophy & Trail
Editorial article: This study material is separate from the translated Scripture text.
Independent Derivation
Draft from the project's KJV source and documented source-language evidence. Copyrighted modern translations are not wording templates.
Grammar Carries Meaning
Preserve the speaker, audience, person, number, tense, negation, and logical connections. Reorder a sentence only when those relationships survive.
Pronouns in Context
Keep a pronoun when its referent is clear. Supply a noun only where the passage supports it. There is no blanket zero-pronoun rule or forced direct address.
Words Have Several Senses
An older English word may need different replacements in different passages. Weakness is not always illness; power is not always miraculous power; a wound is not always a blow. Select the sense from the passage.
Poetry and Figures
Preserve images, parallel lines, questions, and figurative language. Explain difficult images in commentary without replacing them with a sermon.
Visible Review Trail
Current verses can be compared with the KJV input and the recorded editorial changes. Automated checks detect missing verses and selected wording problems; they cannot certify every translation decision.
Rights and Sources
Independent drafting and source records support provenance. Pronoun substitutions, word differences, and phrase scans do not establish copyright clearance. Ancient texts and modern editions or databases have different rights questions.
The aim is faithful, readable translation. Ambiguity or an unresolved source question should be recorded, not concealed by confident prose.
