Your privacy is of utmost importance to us. This policy details how we treat user information on the Giga King James Version (GIGAKJV) reader website and repository.
1. Information Collection
The Bible text and reading tools run in your browser, but online browsing is not a guarantee of anonymity.
- The Bible reader runs entirely client-side in your web browser.
- Some reader and information pages include a Meta Pixel page-view script. Meta may receive browsing and device information when that script runs, subject to your browser controls and Meta’s privacy policy.
- Our hosting providers and external services may receive standard request information such as IP addresses. Where feedback, accounts, chat or payments are enabled, the information you submit is handled by the relevant service. Hidden account or AI controls do not erase previously submitted data.
2. Local Storage
This website uses client-side browser storage (such as localStorage) to save your preferences and customize your reading experience. This includes:
- Your selected font family and font size.
- Study mode preference (GIGAKJV or Side-by-Side).
- Screen brightness setting.
- Verse highlights you have marked.
- Mind Restart text, only when you choose “Save on this device”.
Reading preferences are stored in this browser profile and can be cleared through your browser settings. Browser-local storage is not secure isolation from other people using the same profile.
Mind Restart
The typed-text Mind Restart page uses local keyword matching, with no AI requests, microphone access, external fonts or tracking scripts on that page. Text is not automatically saved. Choosing “Save on this device” stores one reflection locally; choosing “Clear reflection” removes it. It is not backed up or synced to a ministry account. Avoid saving sensitive information on a shared device.
3. Third-Party Font Loading
Some pages load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). These requests may expose your IP address to Google and are subject to Google’s privacy policy. Offline availability depends on which assets have been cached; being installed as a PWA does not by itself stop external requests when you are online. Mind Restart uses system fonts instead.
4. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to external sites. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices, content, or cookie policies of external domains.
5. Updates to Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
